Drew English — I grew up on Long Island, New York, spending most of my time on the baseball field and the wrestling mat. I attended St. John the Baptist High School in West Islip, competing in both sports for four years. That early exposure to competition and my curiosity about how athletes build their personal brands beyond performance sparked my interest in partnerships, endorsements, and talent representation.

I went on to attend SUNY Cortland, double majoring in Business Economics and Sport Management. I graduated in 2020, in the middle of the pandemic, a moment that forced adaptability early in my career.

Career Highlights

I began with a remote internship at Capture Sports Agency before joining Social Hinge, a startup influencer marketing agency focused on creator-led brand partnerships.

At Social Hinge, I:

• Helped build the company from the ground up

• Scaled revenue from zero to $4M+ in brand partnerships

• Executed 700+ integrations across 70+ brands

• Contributed to YouTube Play Button projects for creators such as MrBeast and Dude Perfect

• Helped the agency earn the 2022 vote for Best Social Media Marketing Agency on Long Island

I currently support The Room, a real-time social discovery app, in a part-time advisory role focused on marketing initiatives and experiential and influencer-led growth strategy.

Expanding My Skillset

Alongside partnerships work, I am actively developing hands-on marketing and branding skills:

• Photography
• Video editing
• Graphic design
• Sports content creation

I apply these skills through sports photography and graphics for the wrestling program I coach, gaining a deeper understanding of how creative execution supports brand building.

outside of work

I have been an assistant wrestling coach at my alma mater, St. John the Baptist High School, for five years, mentoring young athletes.

Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, Long Island summers at the beach, and spending time with my family and my dog, Miley. I’m also an avid UFC fan. Some of my favorite artists include Drake, Morgan Wallen, The Weeknd, Lionel Richie, and Elton John. I’m a fan of shows like Ozark, Breaking Bad, and Better Call Saul.
